Welcome to Area 51: place, where SEO experiments take place
There is some information we know about search engines by reading official documents, help, FAQs, by exploring Google staff’s blogs (i.e. Matt Cutts one), etc. Probably webmaster can trust this information.
But still there is a lot of what we know about search engines just because “someone said”, “I heard of it”, “I read it on DP thousand times”. This information should be taken into account, but with some kind of verification.
And finally, there is a lot of what nobody knows or, at least, no one can say for sure about SEs. For that purpose I have decided to open Area 51 – an experimental site in which some SEO experiments will take place. Purpose: an attempt to reverse engineer some aspects of search engines.
All information related to the process of experiments will be published at Area 51 blog and at SEO Dragon you’ll find detailed overview of the experiments’ results as well as short summary of the experiments’ process.
